Metra's Family Fares & $5 Weekend Pass

$5 Weekend Pass: Metra's $5 Weekend Pass offers unlimited rides on both Saturday and Sunday.* This pass may be purchased on Saturday and/or Sunday on the train or at Metra ticket offices. Family Fares: Available weekends and select holidays, kids ride FREE with Metra's Family Fares.* In fact, up to 3 children age 11 and under ride free with each fare-paying adult. Purchase a ticket or use your Monthly or 10-Ride ticket as the adult fare. Additionally, the $5 Weekend Pass can also be used as the adult fare. Family Cars are available on weekends and non-rush hour weekday trains.

*Not applicable on weekday trains (during Summer Sale) scheduled to arrive in Chicago prior to 9:30 AM or on lines that do not operate weekend service; not applicable on the South Shore Line.
